So I'm toying with the idea of training my new pup in gaelic, and after searching online my head is spinning. Scots Gaelic and Irish gaelic appear quite different, and some of the commands, such as heel, are VERY long. I could also not find commands for "stand" "hold" "watch" "track" and a few others I use. Any advice or resources?

If you are toying with the idea and dont have to - why do it if you find some commands are long, much as Gaelic is a lovely language, if there is an easier way to train, why fog your dog with long words.... Mo.

I have trained dogs in Scotish Gaelic, easy for me as its my mother tounge, and I found that as the language is more gutteral than English the dogs took more heed of me. Some suggestions although you may need to get the phonetic spelling to get the pronnunciation.
Heel - sail (a is acut coudn't find a symbol)
track - lorg
stand - seas
watch - seall ( I use look - coimhead)
sit - suidhe
away - air falbh ( I use go - theirig)
