Does Hormone Treatment work for assisting in the dropping of dogs testicals.
And is it allowed for show purposes in the gsd world.

It can work though not in all cases, I once read a report on this but I cannot offhand remember the percent success rate.  I do remember that  this procedure was most successful if done before 4 months old.  According to what i read at that time the treatment is permitted for show purposes (surgery obviously is not).    I personally know two people who tried this out on their puppies - in one case both testicles were missing and one descended after the treatment, this puppy was over 5 months old at the time and after some research the owner decided not to go ahead with a second course of injections.    In the other case just one testicle was missing and it descended immediately after the first injection, it was not necessary to finish the course.  I think the vet should first locate the missing testicle by palpation or ultrasound, to make sure it exists....
