Specific lines for the specific job... - Page 1

 I am looking for a working line female with lots of substance but most importantly smart and eager to please. Do not want an over the top sport dog. Actually I am trying to stay away from dogs that are too intense as I want a dog that is easy to live with (a thinking dog not a reactive one).  Needs to have defense drive as she will be a personal protection dog.

Any specific lines that come to mind with these characteristics?

If I am not wrong, the description you gave above is of Czech/DDR dogs.

From what I am reading I think you are right regarding the DDR. I have to admit I like the looks a lot!  For some reason I always relate Czech lines to the more of a intense, sporty type.
