This is getting ridiculous. I'm sorry if I hurt the breeder's feelings, but REALLY. Do you have to make a dog stand like this???

Every time I have seen this ad I wince. I am not convinced someone is MAKING the dog stand like that, but rather, that the dog is just so out of proportions at the withers to the croup that the poor dog cannot stand much different. I see that the rear leg is over extended in terms of how we stack dogs here, but I cannot tell what the other rear leg is doing farthest away from us. In any case, the dog is not properly conformed. Every once in a while we see photos here that are just depressing......this is one of them.

Yeah, I don't go looking for them; they just show up on the page in an ad. I would never go searching for a dog to express my dislike of. Poor thing; she looks miserable. Or anyway, I guess I would be if I were her.

If you click on the link for her pedigree, you will see her in a less extreme stack, though she's in a bridged stack (front feet stretched forward.) She is short coupled and has quite a roach in her back and not a lot of bone. She does have a very nice pedigree, though.
I see a lot of poor specimens for sale on the database, and that's where I find most of the dogs that wind up in my 'ugly dog' file. It's probably because all the good puppies in the litter sell without advertising (especially ones that have really good pedigrees, like this one) leaving the longcoats and pups with poor conformation to be advertised on the database.

I was praying that he was forcing her to stand that way. I still hope so...can you even imagine how she will walk when she gets old????

I just clicked the mother's pedigree and her hips are A3!!!
She is also very short-coupled, and looks to be about ready to whelp any moment!
This is NOT someone I'd call a 'responsible breeder!'!!!

Not sure why they think anyone would want to buy a pup who stood like that! Not unless they think that it's good...such a shame, poor dog.
