Hello,
Attached are 4 images of my 19 month old male, Gunther Von Banffy Haus, sired by Karats Ulko. Gunther does not like to pose for pictures and these images are not even close to being proper "stacked" photographs.
Anyone who could give an honest opinion in regards to conformation (if even possible from these images) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

As these pics show he appears to be very roached back, poor ear set, weak hind quarter, as a matter of fact seems to be in pain. So get those new pics in. Surely he's better than theses pics look

The first picture would be useable to critique if his head were up, and ideally you would want the camera facing rear leg brought back a bit. Your boy does have a distinct roach, but he far from what people said about him as a puppy. I hope you are enjoying him.

IMHO looking at just these pictures I would have to agree with Tuff. poor ear set, weak hindquarters.. I feel he is a little short in the legs, his front legs are too far under him, and his tail is short and curls up. He's also a little chubby.
His back doesn't bother me all that much but I'd like to see him stacked and moving. His pictures make him appear out of proportion. Lots of Show shepherds have this roached look if their bodies and necks are short.
It is really unfair to judge him by these photos and this is just my opinion based on my view of the standard. Other more knowledgeable people may have a totally different opinion.
I look forward to seeing more pictures.

Gunther is in not in pain. We have gone as far as taking him to an orthopedic specialist who x-rayed his spine, had him do tasks that would cause a pain response if he had some form of malformed spine and everything was negative.
As far as Gunther being "Chubby" his weight is 75 lbs and he actually is rather lean. I think the "chubby" appearance may come from my lousy picture taking. LOL.
I will try to get better images of Gunther taken and posted. We are limted to a 12 megapixel camera, so I don't really know how great the images will come out, that and you then have to reduce them to a lower bandwith for submission. I guess I should purchase a digital SRL to get better images.
KCzaja - Gunther is doing GREAT. He has really bonded with my wife and has responded very well to obedience training and we are working towards obedience titles within the AKC system.
No Shutzhund type training for Gunther due to the Inherited Ventricular Arrhythmia. :(
He is a great companion and an excellent protector of my wife and our home.
