This is my experience and preference with having imported females in whelp:
I prefer to import the female in the second week after her breeding. First of all I feel it is important to let her be as relaxed as possible after her breeding in familiar surroundings after the breeding in order to maximize conception. Secondlyly, in my opinion it is easier for the female to handle the stresses of flying at the early stages of pregancy as opposed to being on a flight when she is 5 or 6 weeks pregnant and taking chances as to what possible afffects the flight can have on her and the pups.
I actually just imported my female Queen von Prevent (Sch 1) at the end of March two weeks after being bred to V Leon von der Staatsmacht (Sch3) and just confirmed at the Vet clinic this morning that she is pregnant.
Again, this is just my opinion and prefrence. Hope this helps,
Regards,
