My dog has the name Ero in his official German pedigree and the name Eno on his Passport, made during the first vaccination. Probably the Vet made a mistake. We always thought his name is Eno
Years ago when consulting the Pedigree Database, I found the litter with six dogs, but Eno was missing, and we thought he is a seventh dog from the same litter  and I decided to register "Eno"  with his Registry number, without realizing that Ero was there with the same Registry number.
Now I understand the mistake and probably one of the two registrations with the same Registry number should be cancelled, and also, as we had recently a litter from the same dog, I dont know under which father's name I should register the litter.
Does it make any difference which dog' s registration I cancel?

You use the name on his pedigree papers as that is his correct name.  Can you not get his passport changed?

You mean to cancel it in the Pedigree Database here? No, not at all. The database is an unofficial registry. It depends solely on its members for the accuracy of the information. However, you may not be able to remove the duplicate entry. I've tried it myself a few times when I found duplicates. (And there are MANY MANY duplicates in this database!) Rarely will the software permit it.

You can delete the wrong one if you entered it, if some enters a dog it automatically gets locked, I have pm'd people in the past to remove duplicate entries but they haven't.
