As any one elses GSD given blood, my lad as today just wondering how long before normal exercise etc can resume.
I am just waiting for the call to collect him.

You will just have to take it easy with him for a few days. I am sure that your vet will tell you how long that should be.

That is so wonderful that your dog steps up to give blood. My old shorthair was a universal donor and gave blood every from yrs 2-10. She helped save alot of lives. After giving she let me know when she was ready to start working again. Usually about two to three days. We also gave her iron tablets everyday , ask your vet about this.
