Ikon to the rescue... - Page 1

    The other night we had a cop car stop out front of out house... we're quite well out in the boonies so it's quite unusual. The dogs were a bit wired up so I went out to see what was up. I closed the gate into the LR from the Kitchen and then the back door and walked out to the end of the porch in the dark to see. There were 2 police cars, and 2 other cars pulled over. One officer walked up to the window, and I heard his K9 Alerting from his open car window... that was about two seconds before I heard the gate being ripped open and a 65 lb black cyclone hitting the back door which fortunately is a metal door. When he realized he couldn't get out that way he headed for the bedroom where I had a window cracked above Bev's sleeping head... and he launched across her towards the window. I guess he thought that the Police K-9 was attacking me... It took about 10 minutes to reassure him when I rushed back into the house. He paced and grumbled from me to the doorway until the Police pulled away and the lights were off. I have NO DOUBT that I'm completely protected, though he's only 7 months old.

Yep!  Sounds like you have a good guardian there!  Don't you love the way they "grumble"?

Ikon has an intense stare. I know I would not want to go near him when he grumbles:)  Good Dog!
