my female pup's is currently 5 1/2 month old and, after an x-ray at a little over 4 months old, the vet said her elbows are showing little signs of fusing which could lead to elbow problems. I being told by one person that you should see them start fusing around 4 months old, by another 6 months old and by another anytime up until a year. Anyone have experience with this type of issue?

I had a German shepherd, Agustus Vom Banach, who had elbow dysplasia. I was lucky to have an prthopedic vet in the area and he stated at 5-6 months the elbows should be fused. My dog had UAC and I let the vet do an ulnar shortening which allowed the AC to drop back down on the ulna. He healed beautifully and today there are very little if any signs of ED on this dog. I was not going to compete him so I placed him in a pet home.

Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I did alot of research and spent alot of money to try to find the right breeder and pup. This is frustrating.
