Recently acquired male black GSD from Netherlands, imported in June 2011 according to passport.  Trying to track breeder, date of birth 10/28/2009.  Would like to view pedigree or obtain pink papers.  Excellent dog!!  Under weight, but good conformation and awesome head!!  Would like to keep him part of my program rather than train and place.  Have become quite fond of him.

I've never seen a passport so I'm sure this is a stupid question does it have any info on it? The people that had him didn't know? Guess before I asked that I should have asked how you got him. I love the blacks can you post a pic?

Passport has health exam and vaccine info only.  I have the number.  I acquired him from a trainer that claimed he had no ball drive for department training.  Owner info has been left blank and chip ID has not been registered.  I found veterinary clinic website and sent request for breeder contact.  I will post a photo in my gallery as soon as I figure it out :-/  Thank You :)

I have only had him 24 hours...I created a registry for him "York Vom Elling Haus"  hoping someone can help me fill in the blanks to pedigree.  I included a photo, but he needs some tlc and filling out.  Has made improvement with water, he was severely dehydrated when I brought him home.  He has great potential, I knew right away I liked him.  He has ball drive, likes to play and a great nose.  He has no leash training or basic ob...will work with him and get him on recall, obedience and start some simple tracking games.  Go from there....

It is common for dogs to come over from Europe with no papers or pedigrees, as "police dogs" If he came in this way, you may never find out much about him. I'm glad you like him though.

Sounds like he was lucky to find you. I was going to look at his pic but I discovered I have no idea how to find a registry.
