In the past, i've been working with 3 showlines GSD (My latest is a French Ring Level 1 dog).
I am also working with a Belgian Shepherd.
Of course, honesty is of upmost importance when choosing a breeder.
Any breeders to suggest who breeds from 100% titled-breed surveyed stock?
I don't mind if the breeder is in Canada or in Europe.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with me.

After reading about so many poor quality dogs people have paid high prices for(from supposed great breeders), and then seeing breeders on this board make sorry excuses for them, I realized that the really good breeders are few and far between.
I can tell you that Sportwaffen breeds good workinglines suitable for schutzhund or PP. I have one, she is a LSC, and he sold her to me at a discount because of this. Many would charge more for a LSC because of their popularity, I know, because I did a lot of searching for a long coat.
The pup arrived totally healthy without hassle. She is also conformationally correct (and arrived that way) has high drive and lots of energy, also lots of natural aggression. She is tough as nails.

Here is his about me page. This is what made me want one of his dogs, and I'm glad I did get one.

VERY honest people with knowledge of lines and training ability that is second to one. In a world full of dog breeders and trainers who will breed half*ssed dogs and/or rip you off for a buck, they are the odd balls out. They will not sell you something you are not looking for, and many of their dogs have been in movies as well as worked in police departments and prisons.
Here is a typical puppy of theirs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQBNrkEcopA&feature=channel_video_title
Having worked with them personally, I could not recomend them enough.
Here are two of their dogs staring in the movie Ace of Hearts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQ-b9q1hyBs

Sorry...off topic. That just struck me as bizarre.

The reason that concientious breeders charged less for a long stock coat was because it was a disqualifing fault (SV/FCI standard), and the dogs couldn't be breed surveyed, but this changed recently. Since the LONG COAT, (no undercoat) is still disqualified, I'm sure the "rare" breeders will still be selling those for a premium.
Hey to anyone looking for a pup - RUN away when you see the word "rare" used to describe anything having to do with GSDs for sale!
