Kalibeck

by Kalibeck on 04 September 2009 - 18:09

One of my favorite GSDs is V Lord vom Gleisdreieck, but I have very limited knowledge of his life & accomplishments. Can anyone offer any insight? My questions range from the year of his birth, how long did he live, what was his hip status, who owned him, or was he a dog that changed hands a lot, was he a hard dog, a stable dog, etc. Any pictures of him? I keep finding 1 or 2 pictures that look about the same, stacked or semi-stacked--- any working pictures? Any notable problems? Not digging for dirt, just trying to get a well rounded picture of this dog in my mind. He seems an outstanding individual, but I don't really know why, beyond I like the way he looks & the progeny I have met, including our dog Wolf. Thanks! jackie harris

http://www.siriusdog.com/lord-gleisdreieck.htm

It says -Lord was owned and trained by Baldur Kranz

He Died  12/25/96

according to this data base - 1st generation offspring - were born Jan 12, 1990 and the last was born March 12, 1994

check out "vomdornburgerland.com" for video of lord, you can also see lord's score book at "schaderhaus.com"....you'd think that such a dominate producer would be a really rough customer....he was a real sweetheart...there was a time when i misjudged bitches out of lord(too edgy/sharp)but looking back, the bitches(from lord) may be the key to good breeding when bred to very good west german/ belgium males.

Our male Wolf is a real sweetie, too. Very imposing to look at, super intelligent, but a heart of gold. Thank you for your insight. jackie harris

Happyday thank you for providing that link--interesting info.

Ost See I couldn't make either of your links work.  I would like to see the video of him.

His scorebook is also on the Sirius site.

Happyday,

The dog in your avitar looks exactly like my dog Tessie, her sire is Xander Von Hena-C, his great gran-sire is Lord.
Thanks for the links,
Jackie, can you post Wolf's pedigree?

Thanks!
