Amazing to me the sport hasn't changed in 40, 50, 60 years or however old that video is. Were they ahead of their time or what?

I don't think that video is that old.  It may be in black and white, but I think that video is recent.  It is the 100 year, 2007 celebration.  Look at the spectators clothing.  Also, I know that europeans were ahead of us when it comes to advertizing, but thae decor of the stadium looks too recent.  Too many advertisements with recent products.

I don't think the video is that old, just the decoys and handlers.  If you look at the cameras (video and still) near the tent, they look pretty recent to me.  I think they just edited the footage to give it that old black and white with teh lines running thru the image for nostalgia.  But yes, those guys are probably in better shape than me.

Never ceases to amaze me how many senior citizen helpers they have all over Europe. Every club has few over there.

We break 'em down quick over here.

This old boy was in his late 60's or 70's when this picture was taken with Irco Schloss Birkenstein in '96. (The dog that took both helpers down HARD at the North American that year.)  Irco could NOT knock him off stride, let alone take him down.

I think you guys are mistaken.  They drink and smoke so much over there, that they look alot older than they appear.  Shelly, the man in the blind above is actually 27 years old.

No the video isn't that old. I see a www. something rather on a sign in the background but those guys are some tuff old birds!  Even the handlers were old as dirt. The thing that struck me like lightning was the dogs. They look like the old world dogs. Funny how those KNPV guys love the solid blacks.  I see a unusual amount of black shepherds in every KNPV film I watch. Anybody know why?
