Should the GSDL, ( german shepherd dog league ) be only for German Shepherds, should other breeds form their own clubs.

Your opinions are more than welcome, for or against. ?

I think you will find that becoming a member of ANY breed club in the UK is open to anyone regardless of whether they own a dog at all and/or irrespective of what breed!

It is extremely common for example for those that work their gundogs in Field Trials to belong to every breed club going in order to enter events.

I know people who belong to GSDL and/or BAGSD who have never owned a GSD.................

We kept our training at B`ham & Dist gong with other breeds to finance and keep our head above water when the GSD numbers went down. . We give the people with other breeds "associate membership" and not voting rights They literally come along, get their dogs trained, and can come to AGM`s but dont vote on any matters.... it suits others it suits us, and it certainly helps the GSD`s that attend, as they train with other breeds. ALL "Working Dog Breeds" are very WELCOME in the GSD League

AND FOR INFORMATION

Many other Working Dog Breeds

are members of the SV

and TRAIN their dogs at many SV Clubs

including

"VIERNHEIM" Ortsgruppe
with its excellent "Italian Restaurant"
