Rania

by Rania on 25 August 2009 - 11:08

Hello,

My name is Rania. I am a new owner of a GSD. His name is Sky. Sky descends from working lines.
I am excited about his potentials and the value he'll add to my life.
Since I haven't had GSDs before, I am looking forward to learn from members' expertise here.

Thank you!

Thank you all very much for the warm welcoming!

Sky is far from being an angle :-) He's the Devil in Disguise :-D

I am having serious problem with his behavior. He's very smart yet very stubborn and tests me all the time. He doesn't obey my commands (which he understands very well). I have to repeat my commands with either a "yes" like or "no" at least 6 or 7 times before he obeys me. And some other times he disobeys me while looking me in the eye!!!
For instance, there's a place in the balcony where he should do his waste, and he knows it. But sometimes he does not go to that place and pee or poo anywhere in the appartment.
Biting problem on the way to vanishing as I bring him chewing toys or bones and he plays with other dogs.
But poop eating is still a major problem I am delaing with.

Thank you Shepherdpal for the other link to the forum. I'll certainly follow up with it.

Yes Two Moons! The photo is my work. I am a photographer.

My plans for Sky?! Basic protection and guarding; keeping him as my companion. He's very courages. I am not an expert about how ideal his physical conformation is, but all those who have seen him say he's an excellent GSD (typical working conformation).
If so, I intend to breed him and preserve the standards of this amazing breed.
