Mr Fred Lanting in his Book  "The total German Shepherd" calls Bodo V. Lierberg one of the Greatest GSDs of all Time.

Does anyone have Bodo's descendents or his bloodline in their dogs. Could you give feedback as to how his progenies are?

thx

I have found some info on him and he was a 1967 seiger and then came to the USA.

His hips were rated "hd-zuerkannt".

still looking around...

Vikram,

A dog like Asko Lutter has several lines to Bernd and Bodo. There are many more, but just an example.

Now I discovered after starring at pedigrees for two hours , and wow back to 1914   I have Bodo in one of  my males out of Arminius lilnes back to V Wilma von der Kesselschlucht.   now Rex is all fun and games, not a working dog ,,,he doesnt want anything to do with work,,hes a big candy cane and loves to bite and play,,,when you try to get serious,,,,no , no no..lay down , roll over and run like crazy....teasing me..,show line is heavy in him....

Now all the kids out of the Orthos v Tiekerhook with Bernd   are wild, work oriented, hard prey, high ball drive, high food , good heath, and hips,,,,

Bernd was closely inbred  and linebred on by haus himpel  kennels

the offspring of these combinations can be found in many good workinglines today
