My brother recently lost his shepherd at the old age of 13 and is finally looking for another dog. He was in the military and stationed in Germany when he got his last dog, but now he has no clue where to start. I'm a border collie person so I don't know where to start either. Besides looking for good hips and elbows, is there anything else i should be looking for? My brother owns his own home and has 2 children aged 9 and 11. this would be a great home and i may even get my brother to dabble in a little agility with me, hopefully :) Where do i start? Does anyone have any good experiences with any breeders? Any help is much appreciated. thank you

Hi
Ask him if he liked his previous dog enough to find similar lines, then post the mother and father of his dog.
His location would also be helpful (what state or nearest city)
Someone in that area will be able to help with breeders that are near that location.
You might also want to find out more details about what he wants to do with the dog.
(protection, schutzhund, pet, etc...)
