Some advice please...
I have a good friend who owns a GSD. He came over last night and was telling me about a friend of his who has a 1- 1 1/2 year old unspayed female GSD. Supposedly this female was purchased in Germany for $4,000 as a puppy, has a tattoo and papers... The man is going though a divorce...blah blah.blah ..you know the story...: (
My friend feels sorry for the dog because it is locked in a kennel and not being cared for properly. The owner is willing to give the dog to my friend, but he is not in position to keep a second GSD at this time. Of course my friend wants me to take her...I told him to call the man and ask for more details about this female..... I have my hands full with my own GSD....
Why me....: (

O.K. Ruger, Let me know if you can. I have 2 working females, 1 male, 1 pit and 3 cats. I know the feeling a bit. My zoo lives and eats better than I do, as they are all on a full raw meat diet. You cam PM me or just post here to let me know. Take Care

Ruger1, your first priority is to your own animals. Regardless of this other dogs situation, you need to ask yourself "would taking on another dog at this time benefit my dog? Or, after all the work you have put into Prince, would taking on another dog cause more difficulty?" If there is any question as to whether or not this would cause problems with Prince or set your training back then you need to take a step back and let someone else take on this other dog.

Isachev...I will..: )
viperk9...You are right,, We just brought our mare home last week. That makes two horses, ten cats, one elderly Great Dane and one feisty male GSD aka Prince..lol...I can not imagine adopting an unspayed female with Prince being 15 months old...Honestly I have my hands full.: (
I was hoping to throw it out here to get some feedback...: )

He said, " Her coat is a little longer and she is darker "
I do not know exactly what he meant...Due to the circumstances I was unable at that time to question him as to what he meant....
