Funny you should pick those dogs from that breeder. Take some of your investigator skills and look them up.
One of the greatest sires in recent years was Zamp and I suppose he was a prissy banana back non-working dog too.
I've seen people like you at conformation shows who come there just to complain how the breed is going to hell and how awful the dogs look You believe that you know what is best for the breed and that dogs should look the way you want them to. Sure sure, go back to Cpt. Max and the breed standard, blah blah blah. I'm happy you are annointed to tell everyone with a shepherd whose dogs are good and whose dogs are crap.
Maybe you should use your vast knowledge of shepherds in some other way than degrading anyone who disagrees with you.

Show-lines GSD's crop up in a lot of GSD rescues. Some are owner-surrenders, but most are from "animal shelters". Part of the problem isthat owners don't do proper research when buying a dog and end up with a dog that is a mismatch to their lfestyle.
The breed "is going to hell" because the breeders have been all too willing to follow the market pressures instead of being stewards of the breed. That is how we end up with loose jointed dogs with exagerated sloping backs. Now, if it became a requirement for showline dogs to have either a SchH or herding title to compete at any level, then you might see a more functional build on showlines.

Here's a Zamp grandson that was for sale on the database not too long ago. He's supposed to be 12 months old in this picture. (He doesn't look it.) I would not buy a dog that looked to be this weak in the rear, especially if it looked this way at 12 months still! I'm willing to make allowances for the leash being very tight, but the pup looks like it's about to fall over. And even if he's pulling hard on the leash, there is NO WAY his hock should be almost flat to the ground. I have a showline female. Even with her American genes, and even pulling hard at a leash, her hock wouldn't look like that.

I agree with you 100% that a showline should be titled to do conformation. That is a great suggestion and you are correct that this would certainly stop breeders from breeding extreme. It would also engage the entire dog instead of round and round the ring.
I also agree with you on the mismatch of owner and dog. Breeder who sell to John Q Public without asking lifestyle questions can be a disaster in the making. These are big powerful dogs that MUST have training even if it's basic ob. It is our job as responsible GSD owners to educate people on our breed. The question I am asked most is if my dogs are police dogs. Socializing them is interesting because in public many people are fearful and move away from me and the dogs no matter how well behaved they are. And the fur saver and prong send them into a complate state! Even our vet was tentative about our dogs at first.
We need to stop the bashing of each other, fight the bad breeders, and educate the public to preserve the breed.
And those pictures, to me, do not represent GSDs.

Bite me, bazza. I didn't look for this shit, it pops up every damn day on this website.
I don't need to "try" and discredit those types of dogs and their greedy, blind breeders. They discredit themselves.
There are a lot of people just like me that don't agree with the way GSD's are being bred.
I may be an uneducated pet owner, but I can see and these dogs are a disgrace. Well, not the dogs, just the asswipes breeding and showing them, all with the same "superior" attitude you have.

That's exactly where I find the candidates for my infamous 'ugly dog' file, too.
Mind you, I also have a much larger file of dogs that I like. There are even shome showline dogs in it, like this one:

The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.

Sunsilver I hope you stick with American GSDs. And for you file of dogs you like and don't like, look up "Zamp- The Legend"
