My previous post was in reply to Leotta's post that I had mis read thinking it said for the working class you only needed AKC papers, my bad I shouldn't be speed reading. It would be a cool thread if we could get enough honest people that had submitted the same X-rays to both the OFA and the SV to tell us the results.

I saw an imported 2 year old male GSD for sale for $3500, I believe, who had no titles, as no BH. I do not believe any hip or elbow certs were listed. Just nothing -- 2 year old imported male dog for $3500. There was a pedigree, but was he registered, who knows. Well known kennel has the web site and claimed there was nothing wrong with the dog. Has to be with nothing more.

At a dog's 2nd birth date, I submitted the hips and elbows to OFA and hips were good and elbows normal. This was years and years ago and I forgot that the SV wanted the x rays at one year. SV said the dog was NG at two years for the hips. Do not remember what they said the elbows were -- either normal or not rated then.
