I like his videos too.  I watched some of the others after I watched the one he posted the link to.  He is a gifted trainer.

I didn't really start this thread to discuss if I should use one or not, I'm just trying to find out which collars work best for the money.

Perhaps whether or not you SHOULD use one is a better question than which works best for the money. I agree 100% with Ulf. Save the money and find a better way to train your dog, the use of e collars is becoming far too 'everyday' IMO, and I think it is sad to see.

I purchased the tritronics multi-sport 2 g2.  This model is now old and worked great until I lost the transmitter.  Luckily by having the g2 receiver I can buy any transmitter I choose and can "marry" the new transmitter with the older receiver.  This way I do not have to purchase a whole new system.

My transmitter choose is the 200 pro exp.

Does anyone have opinions on the new tri tronics transmitters.

Dogtra 1200 ncp.  I like the rhestat knob from 0 to 100.  I have working GSD's and most of them start at about 22 on the knob.  I have to admit I use it mostly when walking the dogs in the woods and they get the call of the wild or instant corrections in a blind search.
