She gorgeous Steve and I've seen pics of her in high drive.  She is a keeper that's for sure!

Like I said, color doesn't matter it's what's inside that counts.

All that's inside is true BUT if I have 2 pups to pick from and both are even in drive and termperament and one is a sable and the other any other color, I would definately pick the sable.  My puppy is everything I wanted AND in a black sable package.

I agree, as I wrote above my pics I had the choice between a black and a dark sable both even in drives and temp and I picked my sable.

Very dark sables, with the black extending down the legs at least to the pasterns on the front and black on the toes, are usually carrying the black recessive gene.  I've seen one dog who was typical very dark sable, marked identically in degree of black to her dam who was also a dark sable carrying the black recessive, but the daughter in breeding proved to be genetically pure for sable and not black factored.

So whereas usually the typical very dark sable is black factored, exceptions do sometimes occur.

I know mine is black factored because her dad was a black sable and her mom was a black.  So even tho by her pic it seems obvious, just wanted to throw that in.

By the way Steve I think your girl is more beautiful as days go by--can't wait to see her mature.

Denise your dogs are beautiful also.

Thanks Vonissik, yours too. All the sables I have seen on this thread are gorgeous but I can't wait to see how the young ones look when they are all grown up.
