Ah but Jambo this is where the problem lies as ALL judges should be judging to the Breed Standard (Which should be the standard to the country of origin and NOT the country they are shown in) also judges should not be favouring 1 type over another as this is what annoys people the most IMHO.

The male CC was more to the UK KC breed standard than 90% of the other class winners.

The initial discussion was not about the type of dogs, more the poor attempt at judging.

Of course we all pay our money and take our chance, we all show under our own "type" of breed specialist and stay as far away as possible from encroating on each others shows, however we all do expect a judge to be able to judge and have a fair chance. 

Saturday regardless of whether you won or lost, surely you must be able to see that this display could not be classed as judging!.

As I said before dogs were not assessed properly, particularly the males, potentially a male who won one of the classes could have a missing testicle!!! Is this right - NO!!  I am not saying he has but the potential is there.

These judges are over the hill and should no longer be judging in my opinion.

ha ha who let scooby doo in, massive differnce, glad i got the dog on the top.... the bottom dog, really its a different dog alltogether, they should get a new name for this breed, its nothing like a gsd

Watcher,I should be very careful what you are saying about the CC winner i bred him and he looks nothing like your  1st  or  2nd  diagram.

nina.your american champion dog may have won 1st place at southern counties 2005 BUT HE WAS THE ONLY ENTRANT IN THE CLASS.there were no other males entered in his class ,so you therefore DID NOT BEAT 2 GERMANIC MALES.as for CH.LINSDOWN GEORGIA.i could live with this bitch as imho.she is not too bad.alittle short in the length of foreleg and a little too long in the back but her overline is pleasing to the eye and put to a german dog she may produce ,provided the pup picked has the correct propotions.i go to a lot of open shows in the Kent area and i hate to admit but many shown are alsations,not gsd,and have very nervous temperaments.as for you being insulted.ARE YOU NOT THE LADY WHO TOLD MR.TONY STANBRA,S WIFE THAT YOU HOPE HE DIED A PAINFUL AND SLOW DEATH AT THIS YEAR,S CRUFTS?i was sat next to a friend of yours there and i did speak to you but you didnt remember me from years gone by.i watched you having a dickey fit just after the individuals in limit bitch,as that time no english type were being picked out.he,d only chosen 4 when you started ranting and raving.in fact a friend suggested you calm down as CH.linsdown georgia was pulled out 5th.she was 2 places behind my bitch who was 3rd.i also remember you in the old days laughing and making insulting remarks about the german type.now i make a challenge to you.....ENTER A GSD BREED CHAMP.SHOW WHERE THERE ARE JUDGES FROM GERMANY.......Perhaps Allertonshire gsd club/North Eastern gsd club on 15th and 16th may 2010.judges MALES......Herr Hans Luger Goke and FEM Herr Bernhard Norda and the next  day they reverse.i have at times entered under all rounders and have been placed and if my bitch is not too much out of coat i will be at Richmond giving Claire Coxall a go.all this insulting of each others dogs is not getting anyone anywhere.we are all in the same boat with regards to the ticket withholding for 2012.we should be all pulling together for the sake of the breed known as GERMAN SHEPHERD DOGS,........EVEN ALSATIONS WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT ARE G.S.DS.LETS GET RID OF THE NAME ALSATIAN as this was the term given after WW1. when the name german was dislicked.

We were at this Show and we put our puppy dog in to the Puppy Dog Class (WHO IS BY THE WAY A ZAMP VOM THERMODOS GRANDSON - THE WORLD SIEGER WHO WAS ENTERED AT CRUFTS LAST YEAR) -  as we always give every judge we have ever entered under ONE chance - however when we saw the Minor Puppy Dog (the only one in the Class) and how nervous and afraid he was with his tail so high between his legs like a whippet, we knew  immediately that if the 3 entrants came in the ring and if the other 2 were like him we would be third.  We put our dog in simply to prove a point and this gave all the other correct GSDs the choice to enter or not - ALL BUT ONE OF THEM WITHDREW THEIR DOGS.

What you will see recorded on the Jacquenetta Website will be that these dogs WERE ABSENT when they were not, they withdrew because they were disgusted with what they saw and this lady's judging was disgraceful - meaning the WAY SHE JUDGED THE DOGS - they were in the ring for all of 2 or 3 minutes, males not check for testicles and all of the above that has already said.  She had no idea if the males were entire or whether they had teeth missing, there were dogs crabbing round the ring, crawling in fear, being choked by chains until their eyes bulged - NOT ALL BUT MOST OF THEM.  There were are few of what would be called middle of the road - very 50/50 in leg and body height and too long in the body  - need I go on.

I see the above dog did not win any of the top honours under Joe White as he is most definitely in favour of the CORRECT STANDARD OF GERMAN SHEPHERD.


ALL GSDS WILL LOSE THE RIGHT TO BECOME CHAMPIONS NO MATTER WHAT YOU DOG YOU PREFER AS THE KC IS ON A MISSION TO PUNISH US ALBEIT UNDER THE AUSPICES OF HEALTH AND EXTREMES OF CONSTRUCTION.

Why not take up the challenge of entering the GSD Breed Shows (not All Breed Canine) and GSD Breed Championship Shows and lets see the results - we enter the All Breeds Shows and takes our chances.

I have to agree!!!!!!!!!!! This is getting out of hand. Like it or not we are one breed with vast differences. we will never agree one way or the other I think that it was John who said this is all down to the KC and by acting this way we are all giving them what they want. The fact that the judge opted for the english type is really not the issue we may not like it but those who have them do, and feel the same about ours, I do how ever feel the judge was in no way qualified to judge either fairly. her attempts at double handling lack of proper checks etc showed everyone this. it was a disgrace !! and by stating this I am in know way trying to slate the winners of the classes or there owners. We need to pull together against the KC and do as we have been untill another solution comes up! Which I have a feeling wont be to long. My friend and I were at the show as I said i did not show my dog, but she did say the couple with the winning male were nice she had wrongly as she had admited was slightly rude only by making it clear the dog was not to her taste. but after speacking to them established that they were as frustraited as she was with the whole KC carry on and the hugh differances in judging standards. She said after wards she felt bad as they were a loveley couple who genuinly care about there dogs doing all the health checks that we do.  So from here we must go forward and try to find a solution that suit both. I understand that geneticlly they are the same but thats where it ends. if we stood them next to each other and asked joe blogs in the street no way would he think they were the same breed the differences are so vast. so on we go as before, as i said untill a solution arrises we are all stuck in the same boat like it or not .....lets not resort to a slagging match with each other we have enough joint problems to sort out. and enough people outside or breed watch and waiting on us going to battle with each other so they can have all our cc's .....And you better believe that .

Unfortunately neither 'alsatians' or the current germanic type are being bred to conform to the breed standard, whether KC, FCI or SV.

If they were it would be a level playing field, and also true to the GERMAN shepherd dog. Reinhardt Meyer has identified overangulation and size problems. KC has identified loose hocks and roach backs and overangulation.

Judges must be judging to the breed standard wherever and whatever the show. GSD needs to be a united not divided breed.
