IMO it could be a good thread if there were a certified veterinary radiologist participatiing. Otherwise it will only be layman opinions. | |

To know how to position a dog for hips x ray is an issue which could be put down on 1 sheaf of paper . But since this is obviously leading to conflict, I digress.

what side is left and right, from which perspective???
the hips don't look symmetrical (newb observation) and one is rotated out of plane of horizintal, the dog is either twisted structure if that is it's natural position or the postion of the dog is not placed properly.
i have no idea what i am talking about.

Nice. Now we have adds running through the middle of the posts so they can't be read.

I'm with you on unable to make out an x ray, I am even worse with any ultra sound I have ever seen as well.

i am pretty good at reading hips/elbows, so i will tell my vet to retake if i dont like them , but my vet is very good at taking correct hip xrays.

Yes I'd be very interested too, I thought the earlier thred on this topic ended too
soon, but I agree with Blitzen - it would be really, really useful if some Board
member or 'lurker' who is qualified and regularly 'reading' Xrays could join in.
