lsu , ando ethen is from west sportlines with a little czech going back to west showlines , I dont see
the best old czech lines on that pedigree , the dog you discribe sounds a little nervous hectic to me , that is not what I would like to see on a PPdog , but if you are happy with it that is just fine

Pirate is 100% correct. Not many know how to use the e collar......foundation work to properly work with e collar is meticulous. Guys like Yogi Zank or Lance Collins in protection work with the use of the e collar is extreme small steps to teach dog how to control that collar. He is also correct about considerations about the owner and his lifestyle. They have to match. Every Tom dick and macho dude wants a maniac hard dog. Hmmmmm. I find this amusing since these are what my buddy calls "money makers". U know they will come back. Even solid dogs come back because people lack the training to control these dogs. I also find it highly amusing when young tough guys think they can simply dominate and become the alpha of a really performance quality high nerve high threashhold dog . U get a a 1200cc super bike, u need to learn to control it. LSU, u are describing a sentry dog. A pp dog needs to be somewhat social or neutral. Otherwise u cannot trust him everywhere and thus defeating the purpose of a family pp dog. A sentry dog is sharper with lower threashhold. I like my dogs very happy and confident. Inexperienced people confuse outright low nerve threashhold as being aggressive. I know tat sells dogs. But, to me, what I want is a dog that will growl on command, but social next moment. His aggression is controlled by command and situational training. Rest of the time, I want my dog to be a pleasure to be around, not a liability waiting to happen. Hmmmm kinda like sports eh?

I wouldnt put a e collar on any of my dogs unless the situation was so serious that if i didnt try the method i could lose my dog or another pet and nothing else worked.

I hear people that say the same of the prong. Oddly enough,, most of their dogs don't have a reliable sit. When you (not you) don't know how to use something it is scary. Whether it is a gun, table saw, or time machine. Anything can be abused.
