You know, I am not a breeder. I do not know anywhere near enough to be one. I have my awesome 12 week old pup, and my almost 10 year old. My 10 year old is a great dog. However, if I knew then what I know now, I would have never bought him. He has a very low-normal cTLI but is on enzymes because he has to be, chronic SIBO, probable IBD, hip displaysia, and walks pigeon toed (I think that is from his hocks). Stuff that indescriminate breeders do not pay attention to. He has never been healthy. That is why I point ads like this out. No dog deserves to be bred that way, and no owner deserves to have to go through that. I love this breed. I do not like probable increases in genetic issues being added to the gene pool.
Nona, noone said it is fraudulent. It is a person who badly needs to be educated to help preserve our breed.
Nona what are you talking about? No one accused the breeder of placing a fraudulent ad, no one said the breeder had no right to place the ad, no one said they think anything at all like that. In fact you are the one who brought up both those issues out of left field.
Jaggirl, like VM I think it is a really good thing that you contacted that breeder, I can only hope she will listen to you. I am so sorry for all the issues your dog has. I hope when people read posts like yours they will perhaps start to realize why testing and good genetics are so important.
If you all would read the post the Mod wrote, you would all see where the word fraudulent was mentioned..I NEVER said that any one said it was Fraudulent or that I said it was fraudulent...Actually I agreed with the mod and said it wasn't fraudulent as the mod saw it that way also......
Jaggirl47, I never said you intended your OP to be saying anything relating to Fraudulent.....
Sueincc and VM, if all you are going to do is address me and try to cause trouble, which is obviously what you both want to do, please ingnore my replies....Whether you understand what I am saying or not, you both will make a big issue out of nothing at all......Leave me alone....This thread was going great until you two decided to drill me on my reply.......
Surely it is obvious what you are both doing.....Have fun....
Sueincc, you are wrong about me, and your aplology is accepted....But if thats how you truly feel about me, you both should have ignored me from he begining...Truce.....
Nona to be fair and clear to you, what I was apologizing was for you not being able to understand my simple and innocent question, and that's it. So once again, I am not sure what you are talking about, I am not sure what you think you are accepting, but please, nevermind, don't try and explain it to me, I don't understand you. let's not worry about it, it's not worth it. Don't worry, I won't question you again, we can just ignore one another. Life is too short.
The posts were deleted in an attempt to keep the the thread on topic and no other reason.
Jag, the tides have turned. The mods want to keep this site like a kindergarten. No more honest adult interaction or disagreements; we all have to sound like stepford wives if we want our posts to remain. Woohoo, that ought to keep things interesting. If someone disagrees with you, just whine and a mod will delete it in the interest of keeping things strife free. Sadly, it keeps things pretty much IQ free as well. OK, if that is what they want, that is what they will get. Jag, no matter what, I still commend you for talking to that teenaged girl and explaining to her what she was doing wrong. Sorry if some people find that sentence offensive.
NOT!
Thanks VM. I am just hoping some breeders read this and try to step up. BYB's will always be around but the more we can educate, the better it will be for our breed.
While education is a good thing, it's not education the BYBs lack, it's a concious. Too easy for them to make excuses as to why shortcuts are OK, they care more about the money than the dogs. This is why it's no problem for them to breed without OFA certs, among other tests.
