He has always sent out judging lists to Secretaries with a promise of something or other - whether it is an Open Show when it's sponsored rosettes on offer for example or a Champ Show when it's something else. It's nothing new.
I said it before - he is a devious, crooked little man who is only interested in himself. It has nothing to do with the good of the breed whichever side of the fence you are on. It has to do with his own ego.
No-one, other than his own, ever diminishing little bunch of cronies, is happy with this but no-one seems to want to do anything about it. If they do, then they are obviously not prepared to put themselves out to take action and will rely on someone else firing the bullets ..... because, after all he might do them a favour one day and then they will love, love, love him! It's pathetic.
You only have to look at how some people on here have changed their tune about him in the past (Mikadene being a case in point - he gets a breed show judging appointment and suddenly Brandon is the best thing since sliced bread).
It's no good simply moaning about him on a forum, it's about time that everyone did something about it - the clubs should all write in to the KC objecting to his tactics. Individuals should bombard the KC with letters complaining about whatever particular thing it is about him that aggrieves them. If this happens, then something has to give.

Many more important things have been written to the KC about than Roy Brandon and his little band of followers. Great things like the breed health and welfare, and urgent things like not registering from a puppy farmer, or a dog with a high hip score. They NEVER - repeat NEVER - take any action.
They will do nothing about Roy Brandon and his actions, because they will applaud such ludicrousy.
Carole, you ask do I think its outrageous. No actually, I dont, I think its as daft as the followers of Roy are if they would like it to happen. They are diminishing in numbers very quickly, and clutching at very strange straws - let them go to their shows if they want to judge whereby Roy Brandon has promised no double handling.
How many entrants will they get from a correct GSD? Very few I would say. because any of the judges that would be pleased to officiate at this type of show are looking for an animal nine foot long, dippy back, garot chain thin and harsh put up by the dogs ears, and the hand of the owner holding the dogs undersay with thumbs keeping ears up - not the scene of the correct GSD. let them go with it, they are diminishing thats the important step forward. be interesting to know if roy brandon and the other alsationists could be dealt with by the trades decription act for German Shepherds, rather than wait for the kc. to do something.

How many entries will they get from correct GSD? That won't matter because this sort of judge would just withhold from them anyway. The Border Union critique is in this week's Our Dogs and it seems not only did he withhold from Puppy Bitch (two entered, one absent but not sure which was which -Tracelyn Vicky and Arodene Frenzi at Nosdivad) but he also withheld 2nd and 3rd in Limit Bitch.

that dislike not only this man but what he stands for. I don't go to German shows but i would like to but you see i love handling my own dogs and i like the way i present them and these shows are completely different. I double handle but the person who my dogs look for is stood still and thats all we need, doing this affects no one else and if i'm on my own at a show then it matters not because they are looking for him anyway.
I have been under judges who are more "continental" should we say and i have done well and i'm happy to continue that way, i would just like to point out that all the CC's gained by my dogs have been on their own merrit and that's 100%
More than we can say for Mr Brandon and he friends but like Julie said his Cronies and dwindling away and lets just hope things do change for the better and thats for all of us even if you show on the other side

Speedfreak....Oh i know its not just the german side who had/has issues with Mr.Brandon.i live in the south east and go to Maidstone Lockmarket to the local open shows.not to exhibit but to observe as most of the judges picked or have picked for them probably wouldnt like my bitch.she is not extreme in any way(she has won/been placed in the top 5 at champ.showsunder all types of judges except the extreme alsantian type,oh how i hate using that word)i know many of the english exhibitors who show there to talk to....Claire Nolcini,Sandra Gardner,Irene Parody,John Lyons to name a few.none seem to like Roy now.i also prefer to show the old fashioned way but i do have a handler take mine in or she,d be going round the ring on 2 legs.yu might even know me.have a good day.Carole Spelman RHEINMEISTER GSDS.
