Things are starting to calm down a bit here with the frenzie of friends and family wanting to take a "look" at the "invisible" dog that has not been seen in 2 years!
To answer some questions; he was found about 2 miles away from my "old" house.

I a very happy for you and Robbi.
I have never been around ticks, ticks in the eyes? Does that damage the eyes?

Here is an update. Robbi has a small sore on the inside right hock about the diameter of a pea. I left it alone because it was scabbed over. Yesterday, he was fine in the AM, however, I came home in the afternoon and he was limping.... I checked his joints, and his foot, nothing was wrong with him except his little owie. I noticed the only pain he had was directly around this sore, so I pulled the scab, and noticed yellow green puss. I had to muzzle him at this point because I did not know what his reaction to this pain would be. I had my daughter help me restrain him, I shaved the area, scrubbed it with antibacterial soap and got it very clean. I will continue doing this a couple times a day until he is healed. I have no idea how long he has had this wound or what it is from, but if he does not get better soon, its back to the vet we go. I have a bad feeling the infection may be in his joint.
To answer some more questions; He never "ran away". He was stolen or let loose durring a house robbery. Everyone was at work, or school. It was the day before Halloween '07. I moved into my new house Feb. '09 only 5-6 miles away
I was grateful for the next day when my daughters could bring "lost dog flyers to EVERY house in the neighborhood.... while getting their fill of Halloween candy.

We should go back to tar and feathering these jerks! Very happy he is home and hope he heals soon. This is one time you really wish they could talk, what a story you would hear!
