April,

It sounds like your two goals are color and temperment.  I have a few questions.

Are these whites going to be different from other white GSD as far as temperment, working ability?

If working ability is at the top of your breeding priorities will they be able to excell at the dog sports like schutzhund or PSA?

Specifically are these high drive dogs?

How are along are you in your breeding goals?

Would these dogs be best described as house pets or working dogs?

If you are staying true to their origional purpose that leads me to believe that the dogs you produce are high in drive.  Is this an accurate assumption?

And finally are you trying to recreate a GSD white in color, the reason i am asking is because the White GSD i have seen work are poor in working quality.  Then it sounds like you are going to breed the worring line in and will result in white dogs that work equal to the working line,  is this accurate or am i way off?

Robert

I DID NOT STATE THAT I AGREED WITH THIS LADY,BUT IT DOES NOT GIVE US THE RIGHT TO SLAG HER OFF .as i am not computer literate ,i havent the technical know how of researching on here.on reading other posts that has appeared after mine ,i can now see that after research by others that all is not as it seems.BUT ALL IS NOT AS IT SEEMS IN THE UK SHOW SCENE EITHER.DISGUSTING HAPPENINGS ARE ALSO COMING OUT OF THE WOODWORK THERE TOO.Carole

Noddi, not much research needed in this case, just click on the user name and read this persons ad for these dogs. You said " everyone is entitled to do as they please", doesn't mean they should or make it right!!!  So maybe before you jump in there with both feet, do a little bit of homework. I also know that nothing anyone says here will change this persons mind, but they are entitled to give there opinions.
APRIL, most people here are very passionate about the breed, it can at times get very heated for that reason. You should have done a bit of research here before posting your rescued, un registered, white puppies, this just goes against everything the people here are dedicated to. To be truthful i have seen some bad adverts here, but yours is one of the worst.

Dont you lot know, burglars just love Aprils sheppards with gleeming white coat they can see them coming for miles especially in the dark, shining like a beacon they make great targets for the Criminal. Spot the working dog herding the sheep, wot do you mean you cant find it? Oh yeh forgot its Aprils white again. RAOTFLMHO

Without even addressing the obvious issues with breeding unregistered rescues, I have an issue with the spelling itself.  My question is, why is SHAPPARD the only word spelled incorrectly, aside from the possessive "personality's" (actually spelled correctly but usage incorrect)????  In such a large body of text, it just doesn't ring true that this person has a legitimate spelling dysfunction.

GSDtravels, that is what I thought too.  Of all the words to spell incorrectly!

by VomMarischal on 30 January 2010 - 01:01

GSDTravels, the spelling is typical of someone who uses the spellcheck that is provided--except for on the word that she assumes she knew how to spell; she's trying to outsmart the spellcheck. I have a Danish friend who does the same thing. Unfortunately he saw me add words to the computer dictionary.....and now his computer will accept the most bizarre spellings!

I guess you have to have knowledge of the disorder in order to understand it.  Sorry if I've offended anyone and thanks for the explanation.
