Sorry to hear about the little one.  So sad.  Nature will do what nature will do despite our best efforts.  Good luck with the Lab pups.  She looks like she's going to have 13!

Finally!!!!  I was worried cause a green discharge was coming out in the beginning, but it didn't smell,
I am so relieved, I asked my vet & she said it was ok, and I also googled Canine in labor green discharge, and it happened to alot of dogs and they were fine,

Yellow Boy!  Yellow Boy!!

No more relaxing now!!!!

Boy OH Boy!!!

Claire has 4 boys,so far....

One boy was lost cause the sack broke before he was born, hugh bummer, he looked very healthy, and I tried and tried
to get some life into him, wasn't happening.........

All the pups are weighing in at 1 1/4 pounds, too big for there to be 13, maybe 8 or 9......

we'll have to wait 'n see!

Sorry about the lost one. Don't know how true it is, but I heard somewhere  long time ago that the green discharge is, or can be from a placenta detaching from the uterus too soon. Or something like that lol. Not sure how true it is, was many years ago when I heard it .... Good Luck with the rest, looking forward to more pictures of the little ones. COngrats Paula

Yes VomRuiz, that green discharge could have been coming from the pup that didn't make it.....

All said & done

They are healthy and doing fine!!!

   Thanks for all your comments!

(Now we just have to pry the mom away from her pups, for a potty break!!)

My goodness! I can't believe that was all there were. And I thought I was going to be able to come on here and brag about my keen eye for guessing the right number of pups LOL

They look great. Fat and healthy. Congratulations Paula...They are precious :-)
