Steve, man, you don't go to supermarket or to the retailers to buy meat and bones for the dogs, come on, you are an intelligent man...

Adi
As i said to go to a slaughterhouse i have to drive to the other side of Belgium, Plus then i have no where in the house to put a big freezer to keep it in then it is just not viable
So its a Kibble for my Dogs with a bit of supplements and a bit of greens etc from our dinner and i always cook a little more greens for the dogs, tHe reason i went to the supermarkets and Butchers was to get ideas as to where i might obtain it cheaper but as there was nothing in it for them little responce except a few said the Slaughter house but as above it is not viable in my case, However My Dogs are never ill there coats are perfect, they stay fit and well on the food i feed them so change is not really needed in my case, unless it was as good but cheaper

All granulated food of any price or no matter how shiny the bag is  CRAP! All enzymes are dead! and causes bloat and torsion.
The best supplement and main source of nutrition is MEAT. Any meat. Organ meat, chcken , beef,.... You can not improve on that. Highest source of all that glucosomine, chondroitine, msm,.... is in CHICKEN FEET. Go visit local Chinese market. and make a soup.  Mix lightly cooked meat with  elbows (pasta), little raw blended apples or carrots with parsley and pinch of sea salt. Good for you too! :)))

I have never seen a Chinese Market in Belgium, as i said Raw feeding is out over here the cost is too high plus the availablity of it as well. I have never had health related problems with dried dog food and i buy the best i can afford, and that is in many breeds of big Meduim sized dogs bit of course we know that you can and do.
i stay off the normal grain kibbles and i feed Orijen and Acana, Plus Greens with Parsely in them i always add Parsely to the greens for myself, Plus Salmon oil every day once a day+Hokamix Joint powder,
Vitamin E tablet one day, and Brewers+ Yeast+Garlic tablet the next day, Never a health problem in 60 years of keeping dogs, i think a lot of problems with these dogs is overfeeding and letting them eat too fast and feeding too much food in one meal i believe in feeding twice a day in equal amounts and give to the dog one fisful at a time not so it bolts the food down that way there should never be problems well not for me there is not
However saying all that i think Raw feeding is the best thing for Dogs and i wish i could but it simply is not on
