A Pup or Dog will not eat its stools as soon as it has passed them out there is a fair time gap, It is up to you the owner of the Dog to watch it and remove the faeces as soon as it Poops.
A short time after it has been fed with a Puppy Just keep your eyes open also to test the water spray some Lemon on the Poo and see the reaction from the Pup -dog
They do not like Lemon plus spray the area where the Poo was when you clean it up

wow thats expensive, I get 40lbs of chicken backs for 12$ from my local butcher.
Why not pick up the pooh- and efficiently manage the dog?
simply a management issue.

My last GSD would take a dump and turn around and eat it at times if you didn't catch her right away. Even Tabasco wouldn't stop her from eating it!! She did have digestive problems though so that could have been the problem. Wish I had heard of the RAW diet at that time, might have been worth a shot at helping her out.

Prager, your post is right on the money in my view and echo's my understanding of the problem. People try to feed and treat their dogs like people and they are not people and will not do as well peoplized as they do in a similayion of their own environment.
