greyhound/shepard...

sorry but that i can not see!!!

Sorry niinc, but I don't know quite what you meant by that.  If you mean that you thought VomMarischal was saying your dog was greyhound/shepherd, no she wasn't.  She was saying some sort of hound generally -- likely the Walker hound she showed you a picture of.  (Handsome dog, by the way VomMarischal, and a breed I'm not familiar with.  Thanks for the photo!)

If you mean that you can't picture a greyhound/shepherd cross they're actually not terribly uncommon where I am.  People breed them deliberately to run coyotes and wolves off their stock, and they're actually quite good at the job. In looks they tend to come out mostly grehound, with a slightly thicker body, the shepherd rough around the neck, and ears that stand more than a pure grey.  Nice dogs -- fast, smart, and tough -- but not for the home that hopes to keep cats and other small pets!

Jackal, remind me to post some photos of my walker hound rescue. Started out the biggest mess you ever saw (local cop thought he had been mauled by lions; he had 56 injuries), ended up just BEAUTIFUL. Poor vet...every time he would say, we have to do more surgery, and maybe I should have the dog put down, I would burst into tears and he would yell ALL RIGHT! ALL RIGHT! I'LL OPEN UP THE OFFICE RIGHT NOW! Couldn't handle crying.

Google Treeing Walker Coon Hound, you'll see jillions of photos.

My two cents he is a shep/rottie x.  If he had hound the ears I feel would be much longer. Since he has alot of drive also.
Always,
Cee
