Mith, try this: take a copy of the photo you use for your icon, of your girl running forward with the ball in her mouth - and Photoshop out the ball. Then paint some teeth back in.

Im asking cuz im not sure what it is.

Tip, to analyse drives put up a VIDEO that shows BOTH what the dog is doing AND what the helper is doing to stimulate the dog.

Then people can at least make a justified guess at it.

Here are some moving pictures, what drive are these dogs in, random training YT.

I like the picture. If I was at the training session I would look to see if the dog was protecting a prey object from the agitator. I would look to see what the agitator was doing out of the photo. I would ask the agitator and the handler what was the goal of the session at a moment when they had completed their work and could teach me. I love to watch different dogs and trainers work/train dogs!! I do not get your statement about the dog being ''set-up''.

Set up means some folks on pbd would come out with their usual negativity.
Ok so ask in another way..
could it be prey? if so why?
could be defense? if so why?

by gsdstudent on 27 December 2016 - 21:12

Why did you not ask the training partners? I think it looks like a photo of a dog defending a prey object. But photos are worth a dozen words. If you were not included in this training session, why would you publish?
