You were at her mom's kennels or Alicia's kennels? Alicia lives in Hilham and her mom in Luray. Her mother does have a beautiful facility. You must have just received your Alasko/Candy papers than because the 1/25/13 litter was registered not to long ago. It took me almost two weeks to hunt down the real owner of Alasko and have him work with us. If it had not been for our efforts you probably would not have seen your candy/alasko papers because he did not even know about the litter. I personally am very happy you have your papers and I'm glad that all our fighting did exactly what it should do for all and get people the papers or whatever it is they are entitled to. Your successful story is one of the things we were trying to achieve. I hope you have a wonderful life with your beautiful dog.

Just because you feel you've had a good experience doesn't mean that what's been said isn't true, just means you feel as though you've been treated justly.  And that's good for you.  I see we have litter mates, YOUR WELCOME for your papers.  Glad we all did the legwork for you, and you feel satisfied with your experience.  If I were you, I'd DNA, but I'm not so do, or don't, Your decision.  Bashing breeders or any person for that matter, unjustly is not my way Warning others who don't realize they've just been taken for a long ass ride that has yet to come to a complete stop, however is.  There are a few others who didn't know better either and in fact are still up in the air with the findings, but at least they've been warned.  "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink", I could say a whole lot more and back it up, but the truth, is obviously breeder bashing in your eyes, (because like you said, you had a good experience) so I won't, I will refrain.  Btw Just so you know I could give 2 shits less about the titles...the dog has it or it doesn't, end of story.  people purchasing based on titles is one of the reasons a lot of people are in this mess. And as far as competition goes there is none in my eyes. But breeding and selling dogs that aren't what you've portrayed them to be is wrong, it is indeed fraud. God forbid all those who had good experiences start breeding and at some point have to DNA their dogs and it come back not matching....that's a whole lot of people who've now been affected, just think of all the owners who will now be notified who also blindly trusted someone, think the puppies, and all the fines, and losing registration privileges for 10 years, not to mention your breeder/kennel reputation....all those unsuspecting people such as your self. It's a shame what a few lies can lead too.  These things happen all the time in any breed and in other species as well.  Some people tend to be blindsided by the money and throw all ethics out the window.  And people just let it go, that's why things like this are still going on.  Best of Luck with your new dog, may the odds be in your favor...maybe you will be one of the lucky ones.

I do not know this person but I do not understand why it's a good thing that someone *eventually* got papers?!  Why would anyone not just get papers when the dog is sold?  I've never ever had to wait for any sort of paperwork when buying a dog and when I've sold dogs, I've handed over ALL the paperwork signed off so the new owner can transfer them.  So to me it's not a positive review that someone got papers when it took a while.

VKGSD

its because there is always a reason (lie) why they aren't

Its because its the only way not to get in trouble from litters that you have no idea who the parents are cause you throw them a together for nursing .....and this way you can claim IPO 3 or whatever title will bring the most money at the time

People who have purchased dogs honestly don't know who the real parents are and without papers ....you will never know

Side note to admin....... Really? You actually called me stupid ? Lol

I'm asking why papers are important, I'm asking why people think it's OK to *not* get them at the time of sale?  I have purchased several dogs with papers and sold dogs with papers.  I've never had to wait for them or made someone else wait to get them.
