It is not uncommon for showline pups to have loose hocks, maturity and exercise usually corrects it.

I believe another concern with chlorinated pool water would be alteration of the normal gut flora if a lot was ingested...same as with humans.  Whether it would be a problem for your particular pup or not depends on how much water he drank, how frequently, and the current health status of his GI tract. In my experience, there is percentage of GSD's that have problems with inadequate gut flora so I think it bears mentioning.

I started out  many years ago, with American showlines.  Exercise is always good, but depending on
what  your seeing when going away is questionable.  At the age of 13 it's usually gonna stay that way,
could firm up just a bit.  I've seen really wobbly show (American) lines before and that always made me
worry.  I'd def. try and breed that out of my lines.

I had a hydropool for my girl, we used bromine instead of chlorine, as it's gentler. I think some hydro pools use bromine instead of chlorine.
