That's malpractice. I hope they find a new vet. Why was she xrayed? Because she is a GSD?

6 months, they spay her against my wishes, and did hip x ray while she was out. Beautiful puppy with amazing temperament. I offered to enter her in an upcoming show if they would just be there, i'd do the rest......but their vet said it had to be done before her first heat.......grrrr.
he said that the vet told them that their last GSD had heart worms, owner went to another vet had same test done and it was neg. he did test every 6 months for 3 years always neg.
i strongly suggested to change vets.

They should definitely change the vet, these hips are o.k. despite the horrible positioning.

I had an 8 month old puppy PTS because her new owner had her desexed & xrayed on the same day ............ They didn't give her a chance poor girl ......... vet said hips not good so her new owners ....had her PTS that very same day, ( didn't want a dog with problems) nor did they contact me until they wanted to be reimbursed
I later managed to get a photo of her hips and she would have passed with a very good score.

Unfortunately, it is easy for unscrupulous vets to create problems that clients unwittingly pay for. Maybe this vet needs to make a mortgage payment and vac, spay/ neuters aren't bringing in enough cash. :-/

Vets who do this are unprofessional, inhumane, money-
grabbing & give all Vets a bad name, both sides of the
Pond ... and they make me so ANGRY

If this vet is a member of a professional organization, he or she should be reported. Don't let him get away with this or he will continue to make money off of unsuspecting dog owners. Raise hell!!!

Kim: Sorry for this confusion but I would INSIST she change vets. If not, her contract is null and void, or just maybe get her back and rehome. And did she check with your prior to spaying? To even get your approval of blessing? JHC: Poor puppy. What about the side affects of early spay/neuter, it's all over the news these days. S_ _t.
PS: I was just going to say well the puppy made idiot's mercedes payment for this month and probably next month also.

Wouldn't be the first time a puppy owner was taken for a ride by a vet....but not in his/her Porsche, more like run over with it instead.
