Xeph

Very handsome.  I know he is young, but I'd like to see a bit better chest development (depth and forechest).  Strong topline, though croup should be longer and is quite steep.  Tail set would be quite improved if not for the croup. Length of neck is beautiful, nice high wither that is too often lacking in working lines.

blacks and sables are harder to critique than saddlebacks...

What is see is:
Above average working line conformaiton.
Strong pasterns
Too vertical forearm (like my Bravo) more like an ASL.
nice high withers (next time fluff his hair a bit at the dip.....its the way his hair has settled)
strong hind legs - lots of mass.
wonderful underline (which many working lines do not have)

Kim,
Like you mentioned his straight forarm.. that is the one thing I fault him on as well.  Also as you mentioned about his topline, I think it is the way his hair is sitting. In the other free stacked pictures I have of him he has a straight topline.

I do agree that blacks are hard to critique. I know Koal is only 16 months old and has some filling out to do. The couple things I will say the he needs improvement on is his head... I would like to see a little more width between the ears. He does have a fairly straight shoulder and a steep croup.
I really like his conformation and bone. He moves really straight both coming and going. Is well muscled. Has a good ear set and nice dark eyes.

The 1st picture isn't the best stack, the way his neck is pulled up highlights the beauty of the neck and withers but takes away from true sum of shoulder angulation, I took that into consideration with a plus of seeing the second picture. Allover and let me say it again, allover he's a good looking boy and that matters a great deal, when taking each part separately some details are very good and some aren't.

Good male type black colored above medium sized and a little stretched GSD. Good chest depth, strong head of good planes, stop isn't enough but doesn't take much away from head quality, good earset, strong beautiful neck, high and long withers, strong back, a little long loin, slightly short and slightly steep croup, high tailset, nice tail. Good hind angulation, very good let down hocks, very good feet and a notable masculine and beautiful thigh, very good underline, 1st picture, stands straight, 2nd picture not perfectly straight, notable beautiful and strong pasterns, 2nd picture a little flat on feet, most probably due to gravel, lacks in fore chest development, little short in front upper arm, also steep shoulder angle which is actually accentuated by pulling his head up, 1st picture shows his shoulder blade pushed a bit forward, but I'm almost certain part of it is due to the way he's stacked. Looks healthy and well taken care of, beautiful shiny hairs and deep black color.

Ibrahim,
Thank you. I always love the critiques you give. Very informative. I do agree that the stack wasnt my best one...lol. With more work on teaching him to stack I am sure I will get a better one soon.
