Wasn't there recently a thread about sable showlines? I'm sure there was a longcoat puppy on that thread by the same breeder, so their stud must carry LC.
Oops! That breeder is Dog1 who posted above me

there is a guy in Canada with nice sable s/l. name escapes me but someone can probably provide. As for sable s/l, Randy's dog is one of the best there is anywhere, not just the U.S.
don't know how Boy Zorra produces, but his structure is a lot nicer than than many s/l dogs. I wouldn't kick him out of the ring.
jmo,

You may look at Junior vom am haus Lerchenweg. I don't know anything about him or where he is now, but he is a WG sable with a normal hips. No idea if he carries the gene for coats or not. May also look at their L litter as that was from the same sable dam in 2010. May get lucky, who knows. Besides that, though, maybe a Waiko son?

There was a thread not long ago, maybe 5-6 pages back now with a beautiful sable, Yoshy V Haus Dexel.
Therd was a video or two of his work also.
Don't know anything else about him other than looks to a nice dog.

Thanks! Naturally the first dog I looked at Waiko. I am am aware of Junior but remember him being for sale. Anyone know where he is now?
Here's the thing, I'm kind of a total sucker for sable longcoats. I have a female who I know has the coat gene, and I've always wanted a son from her, for myself. I'm not ready to keep one on the next breeding, so maybe after that. I need to see what she produces, anyway.
Color and coat are just icing, really, at the end of the day if I don't get I'll live, but I sure want to try.

Does the stud have to be a sable? I'm doing a sable and black/red breeding and we hope to get some sables (that's what I intend to keep).

There are many excellent black and red studs out there I would certainly use. Sables are just harder to come by and I was curious as to what was out there.
