On your first x-ray, maybe fair.  All others NO, and the last x-ray the femur is out of placement totally or out of the socket, basically there is no socket.  So sorry for this. Broken Heart

PS:  I believe it was Jenni 78 that gave a article for all of us to read about the left side of the dogs and why it is usually the worst case scenario if there is a problem.  It was something about that side taking the brunt of all the work they might do; corrections, tracking with head down, bumping from  larger dogs when growing up and etc.  I found it very interesting and very informative.  Maybe she could post that again, I did not save it but wished I had.  Gives you a little background about the possibilities of why?  Sometimes helps ease the pain.  Knowledge is power if you know what I mean.  Also went into nutrition some.  FYI.  Good luck with these babies,  Nan

Thanks everyone, your comments just confirmed what I already knew.  These are 3 absolutely beautiful little girls from Germany.  I am so sad right now.  They will make someone a good pet though.  I feel bad for them and what they are going to go through in their short lives.

The second xray looked the best to me and thought I saw some hope there, but Im far from an expert.   If anyone can elaborate on the second xray and what they see,  I would sure appreciate it.  Is there any remodeling, I cant see any.

Thanks so much, you guys are very kind.

Jan ;-)

@Nans - Did you mean this article? I used it in one of my stats projects so had the link handy.

Like I said Blitzen, I am not an expert. Did OFA just start giving ratings of normal?  Does that mean there is Excellent, Good, Fair, Mild, Moderate, Severe, and now normal?  Just trying to educate myself.

As far as I know OFA only gives normal on elbows, not hips.

Sorry about the radiographic findings. I agree about some subluxation already being present and it looks like dog #2 has Morgan lines which is a classic finding for dysplasia. :(

Hello everyone- since I found this post I wanted to get your opinion on this dogs hips and ask whether or not you think she will pass? THanks in advance for your opinions!

@ Laura271,  Yes that is the article.  jrbbrbx or ??  You may want to read this article and may help explain why your hips are worse on the left sides.  Very interesting article and informative.  Something to keep in your memory bank or a copy of or favorite file or somewhere retrievable.  BOL  Nan

@ Anglefire: I think she looks OK, not knowing what breed or age.  JMO though would like to see a slight better socket depth in a perfect world.  I am thinking maybe fair.  BOL  Nan
