I saw Titan when I went to pick up my male and he was a beautiful deep red as the picture shows.
Also, some people have claimed that they saw Titan become aggressive with his handler during the Seiger Show 2010 .The handler's side of the story did not support those claims.
The thread is on the database...
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/bulletins.read?mnr=359619
There is controversy surrounding this breeder, but judging from the other threads on the database there are a lot of breeders dealing with the same...
It comes with the territory ...some are wrongly accused and others bring it on themselves. It is hard to tell which is which...I feel badly for the wrongly accused....
I would think that anyone interested in buying Titan would do their homework and come to their own conclusions...

Big congrats to my friends Mary and Rob on taking VA1 with Siegerin Liza vom Kuckucksland, lotsa work that paid off. Liza is a very nice bitch with exceptional temperament and obvious beautiful structure. |
As far as the ring work goes, I have never seen a dog in poorer condition go VA1,,,ever. Chest was heaving, gasping for air. Ears were sinking, elbows tucked way in as physical stamina was taxed. Hocks were actually touching when the dog was at rest in the ring. Hind end was dragging as he moved around the last couple of circuits, so much so that the hocks looked like they were actually rubbing and the feet dragging. I'd almost bet that his feet have grass stains on his toes. Almost all of the other 8 VA dogs were still interested in chasing a ball afterwords and he wouldn't even look at one, completely exhausted. Maybe they should run them through a BH routine like they used to do after an AD to check the drive and stamina. Definitely an insult to anyone who understands drive and structure. I guess dyeing dogs and breaking tails means nothing in USCA as long as you bring plenty entries to the show ring. Ahhh, all the better to promote the JA huh Johannes? And now USCA has control of the AWDF and it's IPO program,,,,,,,,can you say monopoly? Things that make you go hmmmmm.
YOU COULD PM PHIL AND ASK WHAT WAS ACTUALLY SEEN< BUT THIS IS THE POST

She has bred him and has what she wants from him
He has been Sieger, not much else left to accomplish
She already has these lines in her kennel and breeding program, she needs new blood now and money to bring it in
i would guess that he either has an enormous price tag for full ownership, or not quite so enormous price tag for co ownership and the opportunity to breed to him if and when she wants....
Theresa
Oh and PS- my guess for a price for him is--- roughly $25k

Yes, I hope Titan does end up in good hands with a handler that will give him the life every dog deserves.... Someone who knew Titan well ( who had absolutely nothing to gain by telling me this and who was not fond of the breeder ) said that Titan was a nice male and was never aggressive in all the time they knew him. I have no reason to doubt this persons honestly, but it was their opinion.....

I agree with hunger, just bc a dog is handler aggressive is NOT always a bad thing or the dogs fault. It always amazed me that people would think they could do whatever they wanted to a dog and just expect it to take it sitting down. They are living, breathing, feeling, thinking beings eventually he's gonna have enough and decide if you are gonna bark at him you had better have a bite bc he does. I would never dream of mistreating any of my animals even the cat and expect them to just take it. My children were taught that as soon as they got old enough to "harass" the pets, it wasn't tolerated by mom, no pulling hair, tails ears etc and that's minor compared to what some of these guys do to their dog.

There is also colored chalk and various colored powders, creams, gels, you name it. Even Sharpie markers for small spots.
