Look at the expression on his face....he looks uncomfortable because he doesn't want to be stacked, not because there's anything wrong with him. She did point out that it had been a long time since he'd been stacked....That is exactly what my girl looks like (except she isn't nearly as nice in conformation).

But he's not stacked, yet he does look uncomfortable ...if he was stacked you'd see extent of the angulation, I'm merely assuming given his rear and croup. He doesn't appear to have a roach in this pic, but it is unlikely to as he's not stacked in a show position. Mind, Wildmoor says he had an injury, which may explain his expression - a photo before the injury would be better I think. I didn't call him 'overangulated' I merely said a dog with less angulation would be my preference. I don't like the croup dropping away and if stacked I feel (I may be wrong, just going on these photos) that he would show more, it just looks like he's been posed with four legs in each corner and he's uncomfortable. I don't know the dog or it's pedigree, how it moves or what it looks like stacked.

why is the fur on his forearm missing?
he looks fine, he looks like he doens't like to be asked to stand still.

Hi Sitas Mom
He had a accident a few weeks ago and as had his hips re xrayed to check no bone damage, his left hip now as some muscle wastage due to not using that leg properly since the accident.
I did mention it on some one elses thread a few week ago. Hips are still perfect (scored at 0:0 13mth)no signs of damage to bone no DJD.

Can't get better hips than that, and I believe you said in the first post here why he had a shaved area on his leg.
KCzaja, once again you are correct in what you say.

He's certainly not over angulated by today's showring standards but his build is not what I'd describe as athletic. I'm sure he can run and jump but his build is not ideal for fast activity or endurance, and after all, bone construction is only a small part of the equation.
Congratulations on the hip score.

"why is the fur on his forearm missing?"
Read for comprehension, please. The OP wrote: "this year suffered trauma resulting in me re x-raying his hips hence the shaved patch, photos taken this morning."

Hi if you read this thread you will know how bad his injury was www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/forum/39334.html
He is still on pain meds and the medication had not been given that morning, and if it wasn't for his strong rear more damage would have been done, as it is the bruising as only just dissipated finally today. Now it is about slowly building his muscle back up and getting rid of some of the fat that as developed whilst he has been on restrictive exercise. He wasn't stacked in any of the pics I was about 100ft away (Good camera/lens)and told him to stand, not sure as yet if the pelvic region will revert back, only time will tell maybe if/when it does I will take more shots. Either way it will not stop him from doing any of the jobs he does.

No offence to anyone but Wildmoor did not post a picture of her dog for any sort of critique, it was posted to show the dog does not, as someone else claimed, have overangulated hind quarters. Nor is she asking what anyone thinks, based on 2 photo's, what the dog is capable of doing. She has already said what the dog does, end of. I am not trying to offend anyone just seen so many threads get waaaaay off topic lately.
