Like Fero for The German Lines and Pohranicni Straze for the Czech lines!

many times kennels go for the name recognition alone and do not study pedigrees, conformation or traits.  if a small percent of the masses of puppies produced are successful, it causes even more demand.

the name sells puppies.

What are you even talking about?  SMALL number of puppies produced?? ...study pedigrees? small amout of successful puppies???.... I think you need to "read" more.......
....Ursus was a very great producer.....it has nothing to do about "kennel names"....
He produced very good males and females, with very good temperment & structure.
One of the best bloodlines that he was crossed with was the Esko lines....which is known for having strong hips & elbows.
The good thing about Ursus, was he actually went well with many bloodlines....

Hey Pat, you may want to make sure you know what you're talking about before you say anything more.

its like Fero for The German Lines and its like Velmi Dobri for the Check lines!

Velmi dobri is Czech (notice it's spelled Czech, not Check) for very good. Velmi dobri is a show rating, not a kennel name.

I seen it a lot on the pedigrees
I am corrected

Velmi dobri, or VD  = Very Good

Yah,

that is a kennel not one dog.

Oso,
I believe one reason for the VA lineup not having much of the Ursus bloodline is because he was used so much.......too much of ANYTHING can also be not good.  They need to promote other  alternative "blood" also.
....thats my easiest  explanation....
