Vickie
Wasn't trying to draw you in. Just trying to show that good dogs are sold all the time for various reasons.

Eurosport is a large well funded kennel. They produce many litters from some good dogs. A kennel that produces a high percentage of dogs that are shown, as they do, has to diversify their breeding program. They can't afford to be kennel blind. So I'm sure by now they have what they want out of Ozzy for their future use. Now they can sell him for a decent price for someone to use as a stud. Then use the money from the sale to aquire another high quality dog for their breeding program. JMO. Makes sense to me.

Don't know anything about it but it sounds like you are just viewing it as a business which sounds kind of sad to me. If he is for sale hope that he finds a good home

Eurosport has some up and comming dogs that are doing very well.
They want to find a good working home for him so that he can be used for another couple of years and so that he will not be stuck in a kennel. He is a dog that enjoys his work and not being used would be very difficult for him. They are hoping to find a home where he will eventually be able to retire comfortably after his working and studing careers are over. This is a very difficult thing to do becasue Josef really loves this dog, but they are looking out for what is best for Ozzy.

I am sure they will they will only let Ozzy go to a great home, as they are great people...who love thier dogs!

The bottom line is, he belongs to them, and IMO, they have nothing to prove to anyone with Ozzy, I'm sure they have a real good reason for selling him, or they wouldn't be. They are fair people who live by their dogs.

I'm sure there are several reasons they are selling him. You will never get the real story here.

At $22.5K, that's a w-h-o-l-e lotta bitches he'd have to get bred to recoup the investment (even if factoring in AI). And before anyone says anything about speculation, that's the price that's listed on the Rallhaus site for him.

Maybe not....If you figured about $1,000 to $1,200 for stud fee that is only about 20, LOL

Any stud dog in the U.S. would be fortunate to get that level of business, no matter their past accomplishments. Eurosport barely bred him as much in his years with them. Ozzy sold to a breeder who already owns a couple nice females to match him to could recoup his cost in a couple litters, though.
