Aflatoxins do occur in both grains and legumes

Unless the grain is mouldy you do not get aflatoxins in normal maize possibly where it is stored badly in very hot countries and where the grading is no so controlled,
But in peanuts you can in seemingly good peanuts I should know been feeding racing pigeons on Legumes and Maize for 60 years and if a pigeon eats any peanuts which contain aflatoxins then it is dead there is no cure or antidote, That is why i give them as a tit-bit in prep for a big race but only the human consumption peanuts
However i would not feed any Maize to dogs there is no need to do so most of the cheaper brands will contain it
Use Oats or Rice instead
