I found by searching Heidi Von Der Hughes's pedigree that the ancestors on her father's side Major Von Der C are related to the well-known K9 German Shepherd on T.V. shows. The first names are (Etzel von Oeringen) better known as Strongheart, was a male German Shepherd who was one of the early canine stars of feature films.

The second was Rin-Tin-Tin (September 1918 – August 10, 1932) a male German Shepherd born in Flirey, France, who became an international star in motion pictures. He was rescued from a World War I battlefield by an American soldier, Lee Duncan, who nicknamed him "Rinty".

The third is the well-known (Bullet von Berge) from the Roy Rogers show Bullet was an AKA Registered German Shepherd originally given the name of "Bullet Von Berge". He was billed as the 'wonder dog,' and made his debut in the Roy Rogers film Spoiler's of the Plains in 1951, produced by Republic Pictures.

Unfortunately on 03/10/2022 my pup began to have cluster seizures. This was the first time she had ever had seizures and unfortunately had to be euthanized. So just 8 days before her 4th birthday I had to tell my furbaby see ya later go play at the rainbow bridge.
If you have a younger dog, that begins to have cluster seizures or seizures of any kind, please INSIST and make the vet show you what the T4 levels are. There are several documented cases where hypothyroidism is the reason for the seizures. No one is sure why it happens, it just does, so please make sure you insist that test be done!
