Breed report

A very large, medium strong, well constructed well proportioned typey black and gold male of pleasing type. He has a well formed head with very good expression, dark eyes, very good ear set. Powerful neck which should be just slightly longer. High wither, firm straight back with a well moulded croup and very good tail set. Ideally the upper arm should be slightly longer, very good hindquarter angulation with broad powerful thighs. The forechest should be just a little more pronounced, just slightly short underchest. Very good length of foreleg. He steps a little narrow at both front and rear. The movement is powerful and shows very good ground coverage with good overall firmness. Remained calm and alert throughout the survey and his reaction to the gun test was firm.
