Gitte was the absolutely best dog I've ever had, and we were very close to each other!

She was very charming & graceful, and had an enormously good self-confidence.

She was the only dog I’ve had that could be loose every were.. If a dog e.g. barked at her, she only looked and “said”: Why are you shout and scream like that?

At the same time she was able to defend her flock in a very natural and effective way: Once when we sat in the forest a big New Foundland came running up against us in a very threat-full way.. Gitte then, very quickly, like a karate-master, jumped/ turned around and ward off the attack, and than, calm as nothing had happened, lay down again! 

In 2000 Gitte was breaded with T:s Gucci, but went empty.

Than she was breaded with Skidar’s Warro (below), and got 1+7 puppies in mars 2001. Among other Älvkarlens Alvar-Alto, Alphie and Ambra, that later become protection dog.

To her second litter I once again wanted to mate with Gucci, but then he had immigrated to US.. Instead his son; Nemo v. Reststrauch had the honor to become father of her 2nd litter. A litter with 7+1 born at the end of 2001, which unfortunately should show up to be Gitte’s worst mentally.

After her first two litters (which also was my first), I was disappointed of the result.. Especially when it comes to the mentality. Apart from 2-3 in her first litter, her ‘nackommen’ had showed up to be much more afraid, for this and that, due to my experience of other dogs and compared with Gitte herself.

So than, I thought I’d found a very good partner, when I met Yak v. F. outside the stadion during BSZS 2002. In the litter that thereby followed, with 4 + 4, ca half of them showed up to be both well-built and good mentally.. But all of them, both males and females (e.g. Craven-Crow and a good female that moved to Norway), with large overbites! (Another of the females, which was worst built as little, Caramba-Cameron, later become mother herself in another kennel.)

The mentality had improved in her 3rd litter, but not enough. So to the 4th litter I choose V69 2002; Dux v. Steinenberger Land (below), which in my opinion did the best TSB at that year siegershow.

But very good TSB, is obviously not the same as, what I define, good mentality.. In this litter it anyway was 8 girls. Among other Duxa-Dotir and Drilla-Druzilla, which developed promising, until she was x-rayed and it showed up that she had Ed 1! 

SO, to Gitte’s 5th litter I decided to choose a well-built male from the so called working-lines: Metin v. Stadtfeld below.

As expected this litter became the best of Gitte’s five litters mentally, but at the same time 3 of 4 was longhaired..  Among other Erdo-Energico & Edora-Euforia. (Edora had probably been good placed in the now recently established longhair classes, and her brother; Emrik-Empatico, has probably become father in another kennel.)

Gitte lives in my heart forever..
