This dog has produced several pups which were affected with cardiac and kidney defects, from several dams with European show bloodlines. This dog was bred a significant number of times prior to ever having hips or elbows reviewed by OFA, and he has produced pups with elbows and hips affected severely enough to warrant surgical intervention for the dog's quality of life--though few of the dams were certified with regard to hip and elbow status, either.
